You know every now and then something comes along that get's my blood boiling...back in the day when I was a reporter...some stories used to make my fingers bleed as I pounded away on my typewriter...this is one of those...

I'm spreading the message just about wherever I can...I just hope others get off the butts and do summat :P

It's not often I post something liek this here...usually at the Flophouse...I just thought this issue needed airing...

It does need airing AND the press is NOT doing even a decent job at presenting it fully and correctly...Actually the job the MSM is doing is shameful

i spent 20 minutes reading this site, still can't figure out what their problem is

I agree they need to update their abut page to give a better description. I too spent a long time trying to figure out what was going on. Then finally the timeline gave me some insight.

In a small nutshell the problem is Terri is not brain dead but is brain damaged. She receives food through a tube and her husband wants the tube taken out and Terri will die of starvation and dehydration in 7-10 days. Rehab services have been withheld by husband. Also there are some questions and concerns Terri may have been a victim of her husband. Bottom line if you see the videos you can SEE she is very much alive...to remove the feeding is murder and disgusting...

I don't want to start any sort of argument, but there are at least two sides to every situation, and this site is clearly only providing one side, in an extremely biased way. There are parts of persistant vegetative states that they aren't talking about (or at least don't show well on their site) so I'd like to warn you that what they have on their site is not the whole story. Again, I don't want to start any sort of shouting matches, just to make you realize that this is a much more complex issue than they are letting on.

I take your point whole heartedly Otherside...

There's always many sides to a story...however bottom line here as I see it is we have just remembered milllions killed in the Holocaust...we lambasted the Nazis as evil for killing off Jews..Gypsies...children...etc.etc...don't forget they also "killed" those who were ill...mentally ill..disabled...and of no "worth".
Sorry but I have watched the videos of Terri and her mum...and read a few other websites and have come to my own opinion based on this that NO-ONE should have the right to decide who lives or dies.
Having worked in Learning Disablilites as a manager I do know the strength of feeling this type of horrific situation raises.
I hoped Coolios guests would have the maturity to discuss this whole issue openly and without slipping into a slanging match - has had happened on another website I visit today....therefore I warmly welcome your opinions Otherside....and am pleased to see no-one has become purile over this extremely important and urgent matter.
Make sme proud to be part of the Coolio family.

Peace out :)

I am scared of dogs but when they are really friendly and lick me my fears just go away and the thing is that not all dogs are like that.
so Iwas wondering whether you could stop dogs that are horrible from going near people by maybe giving those dogs a seperate field maybe.
